Hatfield Online School was birthed out of our campus school, Hatfield Christian School, based in Pretoria. In 2008 we started our online school with 4 students. Our dream was to impact the next generation through technology, making education accessible to all. Since then, we have grown to a school enrolling over one thousand students per year!
With excellent subject specialists as teachers, our students have the world at their fingertips. Our staff are just one email or video call away, and a student can get one-on-one tuition from their teachers should they not grasp a concept.
Our staff are scattered throughout South Africa, fully embracing our notion of affordable online education. But did you know that each one of our teachers is a fully qualified, SACE-(South African Council of Educators) registered subject specialist? We do not employ tutors to guide your children on their educational journey, we only employ teachers to impart their wisdom.

Hatfield Online School has forty-two teachers on its staff.
The majority of these are full-time teachers, but some are part-time teachers, also working at brick-and-mortar schools.
Our staff cover half a century in age – our youngest two teachers are 30, and our oldest is 69 😊
All of our staff members are degreed. We have a healthy mix of BEd degrees, Honours degrees in subject specialisation areas (backed up by post-graduate certificates in education – PGCEs), Masters degrees, and even a Doctoral degree!
